Southwest Airlines announced it is now offering new nonstop service between Austin-Bergstrom global Airport and St. Louis and Orange County.

Small Rock to St. Louis 6:25 a.m. and 5:25 p.m.

“We’re excited to see the return of small Rock to serve our region”, says Lambert Director Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge.

Southwest’s service between tiny Rock and St. Louis will resume January 6 with two daily flights on a Boeing 737.

Tiny Rock passengers will be able to connect to an additional 30 Southwest Airlines destinations through St. Louis, the airline said.

The announcement comes at the same time Lambert is celebrating the launch of three new non-stop flights this week: Austin, TX (AUS), Portland, OR (PDX) and Jackson, TN (MKL).

Nonstop flights will take place every day except Friday and Sunday beginning January 6.

The new service highlights an already very strong year in passenger traffic. The airport – which hosts six airlines and has about 70 flights daily – had 8.9 percent fewer passengers through the first five months of 2015 compared with the same period a year ago.

The schedule extension also details new seasonal nonstop service, including once-daily flights connecting Phoenix with Ft.
