Season 5 episode 10 had a cliffhanger ending. It was the most heart-rending episode for many, even more traumatic than the “red wedding”. There are many questions floating in the minds of true fans. Some have made their peace with Jon Snow being dead, other think he could be alive but in a bad shape and there are few who believe that he can be resurrected.
I think having Jon resurrection would be cheesy and too obvious -fan
When we talk about resurrection in Game of thrones, two things comes to mind.
- Resurrection has been a major theme since very early on.
- When people are resurrected they are never ‘the same’.
The real question to our “resurrection theory” is, who will be the one to heal Jon Snow?
The only person who is close enough and might be able to heal the northerner is Melisandre. Some might say that the Starks of the North are portrayed as being true to the “Old Gods” and to muddy them with the “Red God” would be sacrilege but others would be happy to see him alive at all costs. Melisandre is known to have a pretty enigmatic personality, She honestly believe what she is doing is for the greater good. She knew how to make people see things that were not there, she shared the secret knowledge of wildfire making and she could see the future in the flames, but there was one trick she had never mastered; the kiss of life, which can bring people from the dead. So there is a strong possibility that she might not be able to heal the Lord Commander!
There is another speculation among the Game of thrones fans that Jon will warg into Ghost (Jon’s direwolf). If he’s warged, his brain would not have died but being in Ghost for too long will have it’s own complications, as highlighted by Varamyr.
In a recent Interview of Kit Harington with the Entertainment weekly, he revealed that he is not coming back. He said:
“This is my understanding of it. I had a sit-down with Dan and David, we did the Tony Soprano walk [letting an actor know they’re being whacked]. And they said, “Look, you’re gone, it’s done.” And as far as the salary thing goes, that angered me when that story came out. I don’t know where it came from, but it was inaccurate in many ways. It’s going to put questions into your head and into fans’ heads that things are not what they are. Quite honestly, I have never been told the future of things in this show, but this is the one time I have. They sat me down and said, “This is how it is.” If anything in the future is not like that, then I don’t know about it – it’s only in David and Dan and George’s heads. But I’ve been told I’m dead. I’m dead. I’m not coming back next season. So that’s all I can tell you, really”.
For all we know, he might be bluffing. I only have 5 words to say to him “you know nothing, Jon Snow!”
