Eto’o recently joined Turkish side Antalyaspor after spending half a season in Genova, for which he thanked club fans and Samp owner Massimo Ferrero in a heart felt post on Facebook.
He said: “We have reached an agreement with Ronaldinho”.
“Of course, a big thank you to our President, a father to me, who made everything possible and believed in me from the first minute”.
Ronaldinho made 29 appearances for Querétaro last season and scored eight goals, while assisting in six more.
And he suggested there was another big-name to be announced in the near future.
Ronaldinho, who was previously playing for Mexican side Queretaro, is apparently delighted to be moving to Turkey.
The club chief, Gultekin Gencer, says the club and the player have agreed personal terms and the deal will be official in the coming days.
The 34-year-old joined the Italians in January following a short spell at Everton, but he has now departed, with reports linking him with a move to Turkish club Antalyaspor.
We don’t doubt that both fanbases are “warm” and “passionate” or that the Cameroonian striker is “blessed”, but still…
