China company proposed $50b hydro projects in Pakistan

The Chinese financial specialists have offered to fiscally bolster hydroelectric force ventures worth $50 billion in Pakistan.

China Three Gorges Corporation, proprietor of the world’s biggest hydroelectric dam, communicated an enthusiasm for financing activities in Pakistan in conjunction with the International Finance Corporation, a World Bank subsidiary.

As indicated by studies led by the Water and Power Development Authority, Pakistan has a recognized capability of creating up to 60,000 MW of hydroelectric force, of which 40,000 MW is situated in a district called the Indus Cascade, which starts in Skardu in Gilgit-Baltistan and goes through to Tarbela, the site of Pakistan’s greatest dam, in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
